RENOVATION OF A GRADE II LISTED MANSION APARTMENT
KENSINGTON, LONDONClose to the Royal Albert Hall, Castellum
was engaged to carry out a sympathetic
renovation, refurbishment and fit-out of a 4,500 sq ft Grade II listed duplex apartment within a stunning mansion house.
Works comprised significant structural alterations including the modification of the first floor stair access, new acoustic suspended floors and extensive room remodelling.
There was a full electrical, AV, mechanical and air-conditioning installation and the project also involved a great deal of work to plaster cornices, mouldings and arches, new stone to floors and walls, and full decoration that included Perlata, feature wallpapers and bespoke joinery throughout.
As the apartment was part of a prestigious mansion block, a great deal of care was taken to ensure that security was never breached and that the other residents were not disturbed.
