REFURBISHMENT & STRUCTURAL MODIFICATIONS
BELGRAVIA, LONDONCastellum undertook the refurbishment and structural modifications of a palatial apartment in the heart of London’s prestigious Kensington and Chelsea Conservation Area, for a high profile client.
This project included remedial works, primarily to the external fabric of the roof, to correct earlier planning and listed building contraventions. Window and door openings and roof lines were adjusted, together with associated roofing and lead work.
A new external fire escape staircase was fitted, bespoke sash windows added, the existing air conditioning and extractor systems were upgraded and a new lighting system was installed. The master bedroom suite was stripped out and replaced and Castellum designed and installed a stateof-the-art audio visual in-house system and a wireless burglar alarm. Full internal redecorations were undertaken, including the re-polishing of the existing oak flooring.
Our manager communicated regularly with the other tenants within the building to ensure that any disruption to the daily operation of the building was minimised.
