Team Talk

July Edition

At Castellum, we take great pride in the exceptional homes we create, but it’s the people behind them who make our business truly special. This month, we’re celebrating some wonderful personal milestones, professional achievements and welcoming a new member to the team.

Two babys!

It’s been an exciting few weeks, with two new arrivals bringing plenty of joy to our London team.

Welcome, Percival Jude Dehghani

A huge congratulations to Saffa Dehghani, Design Manager in our London office, and his wife, Alexandra, on the arrival of their first child, Percival Jude Dehghani.

Percival was born on 29 June 2026, weighing 7lb 5oz. We wish Saffa, Alexandra and Percival every happiness as they begin this wonderful new chapter together.

Welcome, Archer Ball

Congratulations also to James Ball, Senior Quantity Surveyor in our London office, and his wife, Gaby, on the arrival of Archer, who was born on 12 May 2026, weighing 5lb 9oz.

Archer has been warmly welcomed by proud older brother George and sister Emmie and we’re delighted to hear he is thriving.

Warmest congratulations to the Ball family.

Elsewhere…

Celebrating Miguel’s milestones

We’re delighted to recognise a number of recent milestones for Miguel Dos Santos, Contracts Manager in our Country Division, following his recent promotion.

Miguel has successfully completed his NVQ Level 7, a fantastic achievement that reflects his commitment to professional development and excellence.

Away from work, Miguel and his wife, Micaela, also celebrated the baptism of their youngest son, Matteo, who was born on 28 November 2025. Matteo joins proud older brother Santiago and sister Sienna.

Congratulations to Miguel and his family on these wonderful personal and professional achievements.

A promotion for Ben

We’re also delighted to share another promotion. Ben McGhee joined Castellum in September 2020 and is now the Commercial Manager of our Country Division, working closely with Nathan Haskins and Miguel.

Welcome to the team

We’re pleased to welcome Roberto Bertocchi to Castellum as Site Manager within our Country Division.

Outside of work, Roberto enjoys endurance sports and recently completed a challenging 30km mountain trail run with a close group of friends.

Reflecting on the experience, Roberto said:
“While it was physically demanding, what made it truly meaningful was the teamwork and mutual support that helped us reach the finish line together. Strong relationships and collaboration are often the key to achieving ambitious goals both in sports and the workplace.”

It’s a philosophy that aligns perfectly with the collaborative culture at Castellum and we’re delighted to have Roberto on board.

A first class achievement

A huge congratulations to Phoebe Jones, who has achieved a First-Class Honours degree from the University of Liverpool and graduates this month.

Phoebe has been part of the Castellum team for the past four years, balancing her studies with managing our social media. Throughout that time, she has demonstrated exceptional commitment, creativity and professionalism.

We are incredibly proud of everything she has achieved. Her success is thoroughly deserved and we look forward to seeing what comes next as she continues her journey with Castellum.

Congratulations to everyone featured in this month’s update. Whether welcoming a new addition to the family, celebrating a professional qualification, achieving academic success or joining the business, these moments remind us that our people are at the heart of everything we do.

Thank you for continuing to make Castellum such a rewarding place to work.

Another award win

Finally, to further demonstrate the importance of a great team, we are delighted to share that Claridge House has been named the winner of the RICS London Regional Award for Refurbishment/Revitalisation.

The judges praised Claridge House for its outstanding technical excellence, exceptional retrofit expertise and ability to exceed sustainability targets within a complex, occupied building. Recognising it as “a superb example of revitalisation in action”, they highlighted the project as a benchmark for transforming existing buildings through thoughtful, high-quality retrofit.

Castellum is exceptionally proud of this project and this recognition celebrates the collaborative efforts of our excellent London team, the client, Grosvenor, the Studio PDP team and the wider project team: Jackson Coles LLP, Newmark UK, Elliott Wood, Harley Haddow, Hoare Lea, Leslie Clark, Theatre Projects and Twin and Earth Ltd.

Thank you and congratulations to everyone who contributed to this exceptional project.
