The Banús Cup 2026
May Edition
Castellum’s Annual Marbella Golf Tour
As Castellum continues to deliver high-end residential projects with the close attention and director-level oversight that defines our business, we remain enormously grateful to our partners, colleagues and friends who continue to support us.
The Banús Cup 2026 (our much-coveted annual golf trip hosted by Founding Directors Ben Jones and Chris Wingrove, in partnership with ATI and Taskworthy) once again brought together longstanding friends of the business alongside several new faces. The trip provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships with like-minded professionals from across our industry in a relaxed, warm and sometimes competitive (!) setting.
As always, the golf itself produced its fair share of memorable moments. Justin Bird of BTP claimed the coveted Green Jacket for 2026, while Matt Kelsing of ATI achieved a truly historic feat with the first-ever hole-in-one recorded on the Banús Tour at La Zagaleta – a moment unlikely to be forgotten by anyone fortunate enough to witness it, the ‘drinks were on ATI’.
While the competition remains fiercely contested, the enduring success of the Banús Cup lies in the relationships it continues to foster. Castellum has always believed that successful projects are built not only through technical excellence and careful management, but through working with people whose values, integrity and financial stability align with our own.
In uncertain economic times, those trusted partnerships matter more than ever. Our industry relies on collaboration, reliability and mutual respect – qualities that cannot be developed solely in meeting rooms or on construction sites. The Banús Cup offers a chance to step away from the day-to-day pressures of business and continue building those relationships in an environment defined by camaraderie, trust and shared ambition.
particular thank you must go to our partners: Rhys from Taskworthy and Matt and Kevin from ATI, whose continued support, friendship and collaboration help make the event such a success year after year. The strength of these relationships reflects exactly what Castellum values most – trusted people, shared standards and long-term partnerships.
Despite the success of the tour, this year’s Banús Cup was missing one familiar face. Sadly, Ben Jones was unable to join through injury. Thankfully, he is recovering well and was mainly suffering from FOMO! He’ll be back fighting for Green next year.
Finally, a huge thank you must go to Castellum’s Becky Frewing for her incredible organisational skills throughout the trip – ensuring everyone was fed, watered and, most impressively of all, arriving in the right places at the right times. An achievement in itself.
Friendships strengthened, many balls lost, lots of laughs had.
Until next year!
